Trophy Hunt Continues With Double Podium in Croatia
We leave Croatia Rally 2023 with second and third place after a tight battle for the first place.
The 2023 WRC Croatia Rally was the third round of the 2023 World Rally Championship. The event was held over 20 stages, covering a total distance of 343.5 kilometers. The rally was held in the Međimurje County region of Croatia, and featured a mix of fast gravel and technical asphalt stages.
We attended the race with 4 crews: Gus Greensmith & Jonas Andersson, Emil Lindholm & Reeta Hämäläinen, Nikolay Gryazin and Konstantin Aleksandrov, Sami Pajari & Enni Mälkönen.
On the first day of the rally, our crews found their ways through the tricky tarmac stages. But on Saturday, they quickened up their paces to climb up in positions. By the start of the last day, Gryazin and Aleksandrow were only 11 second away from the lead. But in the end, they finished the rally in second place.
Our Finnish drivers had a great battle throughout the event but former World Champions Emil Lindholm & Reeta Hämäläinen came on top in third place. On their tarmac debut with Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, Gus Greensmith & Jonas Andersson improved their relationship with their machine and won the Wolf Power Stage in the end.
Next time, we will be racing on the gravel stages of Portugal between 12-14 May.
