Last weekend, Toksport had two challenges to face, one was in Izmir Turkiye for Turkish Touring Car Championship (TTCC) and the other one was in Okayama Japan for World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). Izmir Race was the last of the season and Borusan Motorsports driver Aytaç Biter already ensured his title at the previous round. But this did not made Toksport Crew’s job easier, because their appearance on the track should merit Biter’s title. So they did. After a meticulous preparation, Aytaç Biter’s BMW was ready to boost and despite his secure title, his effort was appreciated by the grandstand crowds: His personal best, best time at the seeding and victory on both race 1 and race 2 of the weekend. He deserved to be at the top with support of Toksport’s hard work, then it is time to celebrate. The second squad had to move a long way to Okayama, Japan for 11th round of WTCC. But Japanese rainy skies did not bring good luck to Borusan Motorsports driver Ibrahim Okyay. On the first race of the weekend, Russian BMW driver Andrey Romanov hit Okyay’s car and pushed out of the track. This heavy damage forced Okyay to retire and farewell to precious points to be earned on Okayama Racetrack. The Panel of the Stewards judged the Russian guilty for the incident he had with Borusan Motorsport”s Ibrahim Okyay; the penalty meant that Romanov slipped down from 19th overall and 6th of the Independents, to 22nd and 8th respectively. Toksport has just one more race to go before the existing season ends, which will be organized in Macau on 13-16 November.
