Adel Abdulla and his co-driver Sebastien Delaunay finished second in FIA T2 at Dubai International Baja Race and scored valuable points for the championship. Despite the electronic differantial problems during the first stage of the rally, the duo kept their pace and reached to podium at the end of the rally. The youngster Mansour Al Helei won the Dubai International Baja Group T2.
Qatari driver Adel Hussein Abdulla and his French co driver Sebastian Delaunay drove their Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and Nissan Middle East sponsored Nissan Patrol Y62 to victory after 2 days of race in Rally Jeddah. They completed the first day as 2nd fastest in overall and their pace brought them victory at the end of the race.
At this weekend’s three day Italian Baja, QX Rally Team driver Qatari Adel Hussein Abdulla wants to retake the points lead in FIA T2 World Championship. Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) supported driver is entering this rally with his new sponsors Nissan Middle East.
Victory in the first round of the championship Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge and fourth place in the home round of Sealine Cross Country Rally put him 12 points behind the leader Saudi Arabian driver Yasir Seaidan. In his TOKSPORT WRT run Nissan Patrol Y62 Abdulla is aiming to finish ahead of his title rival in this weekend’s 523 km long rally and get the points lead for reigning champion Nissan in T2 category.
“The objective is to get a good result and gain the maximum points in the T2 Championship in this event. The full support that we have for all theæ remaning rounds of the championship from Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) and Nissan Middle East are the biggest factors for succes. It will also be my first rally with the experienced co driver Jean-Michel Polato and I would like to welcome him to our team” said Adel Hussein Abdulla.
The rally will start on June 24 in Cordenon and finish in Pordenone, North of Italy on Sunday afternoon.
