Chris Ingram missed out the ERC1 Junior title just by 0.3 seconds in the last stage of Barum Rally. Ingram was targeting the ERC1 Junior Championship before the start of the rally and it was a very a close battle with Filip Mares. He was 0.6 seconds ahead of Mares before the last stage of the rally but he lost 0.9 seconds on the stage and lost the championship. Despite becoming second in the ERC1, Ingram is leading now the overall European Rally Championship with two events left. Orhan Avcioglu and Burcin Korkmaz was 9th in ERC3 and 24th overall in their Peugeot 208 R2.
Chris Ingram and Ross Whittock managed to finish 2nd in ERC1 Junior at this weekend’s Rally di Roma. End of leg 1 Chris and Ross were 6th overall and 2nd in ERC1 despite a brake issue in the first stages while Orhan Avcioglu was 7th in ERC3. By the end of second day, without any issues for both crew, Chris and Ross completed the rally P6 overall and P2 in ERC1 . They kept their hopes of winning the ERC1 Junior title for the following race at Barum Czech Rally. Orhan and Aras were P6 in ERC3 in their debut for Peugeot 208 R2 and received the first points of the season.
