Henning Solberg and his co-driver Ilka Minor became 5th in WRC Rally Finland. They have started the rally with the new Skoda Fabia R5 EVO. The new Skoda was expected to be very competitive in the fast stages of Rally Finland. A broken wheel at SS7 caused a very big-time loss for the duo and they have completed the first day 6th in WRC2. By the morning stages on Saturday, they started to improve their pace but a power steering issue made them slow down in SS13 nevertheless they were 5th in WRC2 when they have reached the service area. They have completed the 3-day long rally in P5 at WRC2 and got valuable points for the championship. The next rally of the duo will be WRC Rally Turkey.
Chilean driver Emilio Fernandez completed Rally Estonia the candidate event for 2010 World Rally Championship in a Skoda Fabia R5 run by Toksport WRT. Emilio and his co-driver Axel Coronado aimed to gain more experience on gravel and they did their best to learn on the Estonian soil. They were 18th overall and P11 in RC2 by the end of the rally. The duo target to participate more gravel rallies in Europe to become more competitive for the future races.
Toksport WRT drivers Orhan Avcioglu and Burcin Korkmaz were at the penultimate round of WRC, Wales Rally GB. The duo was on the Wales gravel for the first time and they went off the road in the stage and had a slight damage on the car. Except for the damage to the car, they had no mechanical problem until the end of the rally and with a good pace, they managed to finish rally 14th among 22 WRC2 cars and 33rd in overall.
Toksport WRT drivers Menderes Okur and Ufuk Uluocak wins Group N in their Mitsubishi Evo IX at 42nd Yesil Bursa Rally. They led the Group N category from the beginning of the rally and finished on the top in his class. Orhan Avcioglu and Burcin Korkmaz retired in their Ford Fiesta R5 with an engine failure in the first stage of the rally. The exhaust manifold was broken and as a result, they lost the power and had to retire.
