Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland 2018 Champion Berkay Besler will be competing in Porsche BWT GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East. It will be a good training for him to get prepared for the upcoming 2019 season. Ever since its inaugural season in 2009/2010 the GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East is offering an ideal platform for the Arab world’s most promising circuit racing drivers to broaden their racing experience on the region’s most appealing race tracks.

Berkay Besler celebrated his overall championship for The Porsche Sports Cup Germany in Hockenheimring. The great season finale took place in Baden-Wuerttemberg with more than 220 participants. Besler showed an impressive performance and got both race wins in Super Sports Cup. Unfortunately this performance did not help him to crown the title by his own and he completed the season 2nd in Super Sports Cup by 5,8 points. In the endurance series he won both races in his class and secured the title for 5f class for 2018. With all the points collected through out the year, Berkay Besler’s crowned the overall champion of Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland for 2018.
The Porsche Sports Cup completed its third race weekend of the season at the Nürburgring. Exciting races , more than 190 participants in the six racing series and driving events, and many visitors in the paddock caused a stir in the Eifel.
In the Sunday race of the Porsche Super Sports Cup, Berkay Besler celebrated his first victory of the season in the 991 GT3 Cup. The Toksport WRT driver drove a superb race at the top and was the first to be dismissed with a clear lead. On Saturdays the rainy weather demanded everything from the drivers. Shortly before the race started rain, so the start behind the Safetycar took place. As the rain increased significantly, some riders slipped off the rainy track. Thus, the Safetycar moved out again before the race management then prematurely ended the race for safety reasons with the red flag. Besler won the cup classification.
Toksport WRT driver Berkay Besler had 3 podiums at Red Bull Ring in Porsche Sports Cup weekend. The 19-year-old driver managed to be on the podium 3 times out of 4 races. In Endurance Races, he had 2nd overall position and 1 win and one 3rd position in his class. In Super Sports Cup 2nd race, he had to retire due to an accident but he got the 2nd overall in the first race. With these results, Berkay is now 2nd in the Endurance championship.
The 4th round of Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux took place at Circuit Zandvoort. Berkay Besler made the 5th time in both Qualifying sessions. In the first race Besler had a big battle with Xavier Maassen for the third position and he took the 4th place at the end of the first race with only 0,156 seconds. In the second race, he improved his position to 4th and completed the race.
The opening round of Porsche Sports Cup Germany took place at Hockenheimring. Toksport WRT drivers Berkay Besler, Umit Ulku and Bilal Saygili competed in a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Gen II car while Caglayan Celik and Yildiray Demircioglu shared a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Gen I car. The half of the race was ran under the rain and Bilal Saygili retired from the weekend due to an accident in the first race and damages in his car. Here are the results.

Toksport WRT’s young driver Berkay Besler completed his first race event for the Benelux GT3 Cup Challenge at SPA-Francorchamps in Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Gen II car . It was a difficult weekend for him as he had finished 19th in the first race . In the start of the second race, right after the start, he had a contact with an opponent and had to retire due mechanical problems.

Toksport WRT to compete in Porsche Benelux GT3 Cup Challenge with Berkay Besler. 19-year-old Turkish driver will be driving Porsche 991 GT3 Cup Gen II and he aims to score maximum points for the title.
Besler started his racing career with karting in 2008, became the 2016 X30 European champion and the 2016 BMC champion. For the first time in 2017, he was behind the wheels of a race car and he ran in Clio Cup Italy and finished the season as the 8th.

Ayhancan Guven raced his 3rd round of this season at legendary Le Mans race track. He had a good pace during the weekend and he scored 10th time in Qualifying session among 61 cars. With the beginning of the race, he turned to an advantage of the accident of front runner cars and rose to fourth place. He completed the race 4th in overall and 1st in Benelux class. After the post-race scrutineering, race stewards decided to apply a penalty of 5 seconds due to an irregularity in his car’s brake cooling system. Toksport WRT objected the decision and made an appeal to FFSA. The race results were suspended until the final decision.
Toksport WRT, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux drivers Ayhancan Guven and Umit Ulku had an unlucky weekend in Zandvoort. Ayhancan Guven had the third position in the first qualifying session and the second position in the second qualifying session. Umit Ulku was first among B graded drivers and got the 6th position in the first qualifying session. With the start of race 1, Ayhancan had a crash and he had to retire due to mechanical problems at his car. In the second race, he had a good pace and finished the race third and hold the trophy on podium. In the technical control after the race, a 1 mm difference in the camber shim on the left front side has caused Ayhancan Guven to get a 5 position penalty and he finished the race eight overall. In the second race, Umit Ulku had a spin and ended in gravel trap. He couldn’t get his car back to track and retired. Next race of Porsche Cup will be held in the legendary 24h Le Mans circuit at 17 th of June.
